Air Classics Museum of Aviation

About Us

The Air Classics Museum of Aviation is a volunteer-run aviation museum located at the Aurora Municipal Airport (ARR) in Sugar Grove, Illinois. It is our mission to chronicle and preserve the critical role aviation has played throughout history and share this valuable information to the public through our unique exhibits, educational programs, and flight operations.

Our collection includes aircraft, uniforms and other aviation memorabilia from the 1930s to the present time. Volunteers offer guided tours of the aircraft and visitors are encouraged to sit in an A-7 flown in the Gulf War, as well as climb into the pilot’s seat of an UH-1 Huey helicopter.

Our Mission

The Air Classics Museum chronicles the critical role of aviation, and teaches this to the general public and visitors in Chicagoland through its unique exhibits, educational programs, with volunteer opportunities.
